WNS: Dream Wedding II: The Grandeur Collection by Ohimai Atafo

The ‘Grandeur Collection’ unveiled by Nigerian Fashion designer Ohimai Atafo featured lovely designs and colors at the Landmark Village Event Centre, Oniru. The show opened with a welcome speech from Ohimai Atafo. The grooms came out first, joined by the bridesmaids and then the bride. Different celebrities showcased the designer’s Grandeur Collections – popular Tinsel actor Gbenro Ajigbade was the first to grace the runway in a powder blue suit, followed by Chris Attoh in a dark blue suit, then by Popular R n B singer Lynxx who wore a piece suit with a jacket, former AMBO winner and Actor OC Ukeje followed in a beige three piece suit with champagne tie accompanied by his bride Seyi Shey who rendered her hit single ‘loving her way’ to her groom, DJ Exclusive was next in a blue-black tuxedo that featured a dark blue velvet jacket and had Tobi Oyelakin as his bride and finally Joseph Benjamin in a royal blue suit with his bride Beverly Naya, looking dazzling in a tulle and satin wedding dress.

The couples had bridesmaids in different colors of bright red, cream, royal blues, champagne and baby pink, floral patterns bordered by bold colored satin with their feet adorned with Bejeweled shoes; and two flower girls in white and baby pink. According to Olu 'Today, I want to share with you, the pre-wedding video of Naomi and Dayo. I enjoyed working with this couple and I look forward to filming their wedding later this year. It is a short clip that reiterates that "lending a good hand can lead to love". Naomi is from Cameroon and Dayo is from Nigeria so we made some funny shots of them trying to speak each other's language. I wanted to do something different with this video so I had Oluwakemi Ajibare record a song at a studio. Enjoy the montage..'

Mai Atafo presents Dream Wedding II "The Launch of the Grandeur Collection" Today

Nigerian designer Ohimai Atafo is holding the second edition of his wedding show to launch his newest wedding designs today at the prestigious Landmark Village Event Centre Oniru off Ligali Ayorinde VI, Lagos. The second edition which is tagged 'Dream Wedding II: The Launch of the Grandeur Collection' will chronicle a real life wedding ceremony.

Dream Wedding I which was the official launch of Mai Atafo's wedding label "Weddings by Mai" was the most exciting and innovative wedding event last year. According to the Ohima Atafo, "We are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that the launch of "The Grandeur Collection" will be exceptional and filled with world-class entertainment and theatrics in a luxury wedding setting. It promises to be the most remarkable and memorable wedding event of the year, he added.

In anticipation of the event, an official theme song 'Stay with me' Feat. Praiz and Waje was released and will be performed today at the Dream Wedding II. This year will feature many Nigerian and African celebrities as models to star in mini wedding plays. The Grandeur Collection was showcased at a spectacular fashion show in Paris prior to the Dream Wedding II holding today.

Relieving the first edition of Dream Wedding, we ask - Who gets to be kissed today?, What surprises will the designer have in store for guests? Dream Wedding II will retain its real life wedding elements like a wedding ceremony, wedding reception venue, wedding décor, wedding invitation, wedding cake, bouquet toss, wedding toast, just to mention a few.

Weddings by MAI will be working in collaboration with G.H. MUMM champagne – a brand that has been in the business of making quality champagne such as The Classic, Cuvee R. Lalou and The Grand Crus collections for almost two centuries – whose drive is the slogan ‘only the best’.

On Thursday 13th June 2013, Nigerian designer Ohimai Atafo will hold the second edition of his wedding showcase tagged “Dream Wedding II: Launch of the Grandeur Collection” at the Landmark Village, Victoria Island, Lagos.
